Spatz3® is a 12-month adjustable intragastric balloon indicated as a non-surgical alternative to assist with weight control, always with medical follow-up and multidisciplinary support. Unlike conventional balloons, Spatz3® allows volume adjustment throughout the treatment, providing greater personalization according to the patient’s clinical response and tolerance.
The procedure is performed endoscopically, with sedation, in an appropriate environment. After insertion, the balloon is filled and begins to occupy part of the gastric volume, contributing to: • Early satiety sensation; • Support for changes in eating habits; • Better control of food intake.
During follow-up, the physician may make volume adjustments when clinically indicated.
Main Differentials
• Adjustable throughout treatment – allows increasing or reducing the volume according to clinical need. • Personalized treatment – greater adaptation to the patient’s progress and tolerability. • Minimally invasive approach – insertion and removal by endoscopy, without surgical incisions. • Structured medical follow-up – indicated within a supervised therapeutic plan.
Indication
The indication for Spatz3® must be defined exclusively by the physician after a complete clinical evaluation. It may be considered for patients seeking support in weight control when conventional measures have not achieved the desired results.
The Importance of Follow-up
The intragastric balloon is a therapeutic tool that must be associated with medical follow-up and nutritional guidance. Adherence to the multidisciplinary plan is essential for better results and patient safety.
Endoaccess is the exclusive distributor of Spatz3® in the South, Southeast (except Minas Gerais), Midwest and North regions of Brazil.
